Eat Mor Chikin! - What to Pair with Chicken

One of the keys to pairing wine with food is considering all of the flavors. Chicken is one of the most popular foods to eat because it is so versatile. You can grill it, with BBQ sauce and roasted onions, peppers, and mushrooms. You can lightly sauté a chicken with lemon. You can fry a breaded chicken.

 

So it makes sense that you can have just as many possibilities with a wine. If you grill a Chicken,  a smoky Syrah would be the perfect match. With lemon maybe an Italian white wine, like a Pecorino.

 

And when it all comes down to it, the real question is: What do you like?

 

I have always found that the best pairings are made with food you enjoy and wine you enjoy. If that means going against the grain and having a red wine with fish or a white wine with meat, do it! No one knows your taste buds like you do.
